New faces join the staff

Many of the new coaches for the 2017-18 school year are already on campus. This story will be updated throughout the summer.  

Jemar Lewis | Assistant Football Coach

Jemar Lewis is a two-time Heidelberg graduate, earning his bachelor's degree in 2011 and his master's degree in 2013.  As a student-athlete, Lewis was a two-time All-OAC running back and scored three touchdowns in his first game as a Student Prince.  

After serving as a graduate assistant at HU under then-Head Coach Mike Hallett, the Bedford, Ohio, native took a full-time coaching job at North Carolina Wesleyan.  While coaching the running backs and serving as recruiting coordinator, Lewis coached the USA South Offensive Player of the Year in 2014 and the Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2015.  

 

Emma Morris | Graduate Assistant for Women's Soccer

A native of England, Emma Morris joins the women's soccer team after finishing up her collegiate career at Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin.  Morris played 16 games for the V-Hawks in 2016 after playing for three years at Ashford University.  While at Ashford, she was a starter on the 2015 AII Champions in NAIA.  She earned academic all-conference honors twice.  

Morris has previous coaching experience at the club and high school level.  

 

Abbie Barth | Graduate Assistant for Volleyball

Hailing from Roanoke, Texas, Abbie Barth comes to Heidelberg after an illustrious career at The University of Texas at Dallas.  During her time with the Comets, Barth garnered four All-American Southwest Conference honors, including a First-Team honor in 2016.  She helped lead UT Dallas to the Sweet 16 as a senior.  She holds the program's record for career digs with 1,921.

Prior to her arrival in Tiffin, Barth coached with the Texas Image Volleyball Club.  

 

Tim Kaiser | Graduate Assistant for Men's Basketball

After wrapping up a successful career at Waynesburg University, Tim Kaiser is set to begin his coaching career with the Student Princes.  A native of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, Kaiser served as a team captain in his final year with the Yellow Jackets.  During that year, he led the team in minutes played, assists and free throw percentage.  

Since arriving in Tiffin, Kaiser has been helping with the Heidelberg Basketball summer camps.
