Nine student-athletes earn Academic All-OAC

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio -- Heidelberg University Athletics saw nine winter student-athletes honored for their work in the classroom by the Ohio Athletic Conference. To be eligible for academic All-OAC status, a student must be of sophomore class standing or higher, maintain varsity status, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.50.

Women's basketball paced the honorees with five selections, while men's basketball and wrestling each had two athletes selected.

For women's basketball, sophomores Hannah Kilps and Lauren VanHoose earned their first career nods. Juniors Casey Moore, Maddy Crawford, and Leah Bouillon were also selected. Crawford and Bouillon were both selected as sophomores, while Moore has earned the award for the first time.

On the wrestling team, juniors Chase Morrison and Mason Brainard were both selected for the second time of their careers.

Finally, for men's basketball, sophomore Bailey Croft and senior Jimmy Hanley were both honored with the award. Croft's selection is the first of his career, while Hanley is a three-time recipient of the award.
