Cartel Brooks set an NCAA All-Divisions record with a 465-yard rushing performance at Baldwin Wallace. Brooks was interviewed on national radio shows and on ESPN's SportsCenter following the feat.
The wrestling team swept their way to the OAC crown in 2014, scoring 161 points in five matches, including a 53-0 drubbing of Muskingum.

Sophie Goobic's senior year was, perhaps, the greatest in Heidelberg history. Goobic attained All-American status in cross country (27th), indoor track (6th in the 5K) and outdoor track (2nd in the 3K Steeplechase).
Amber Welfle, named OAC Player of the Year, led Heidelberg volleyball to an OAC title. Welfle finished her career with 1,353 kills, third in program history.
Hamid Shariff notched seven assists during the season and was named OAC Midfielder of the Year. Shariff is the first Student Prince to receive that award.
In addition to the All-Divisions single-game record, Cartel Brooks also broke the Heidelberg single-season rushing record. Brooks' 2013 total -- 1,704 yards -- gives him a career total of 3,762 yards heading into his senior season. The HU career mark is 4,077 yards set by Jeff Brock in 1999.
A total of 47 student-athletes received Academic All-OAC honors for their academic and athletic talents in 2013-14.
Heidelberg baseball led the nation in hit by pitches, getting plunked 116 times.
Heidelberg Athletics live-streamed 52 events on the Berg Athletics Network in 2013-14. On average, 721 viewers logged on to watch. More than 7,000 fans tuned in to the Heidelberg-Mount Union football game in November.
Josh Lynch earned his second career All-American honor by finishing 4th in the triple jump. Lynch's mark of 14.50m came at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships.

Lost in the shuffle of the monster year by Cartel Brooks, quarterback Michael Mees guided the Student Princes to a record 481 points in 2013. Mees threw 27 touchdowns, tying the single-season mark set by Andrew Miller in 2008.
Fittingly, it was a bunt single that pushed center fielder Jami Wagner into first place on Heidelberg softball's all-time hits list. Wagner is also the career record holder for at bats, runs, triples and stolen bases.
In a season-opening win over Pitt-Greensburg, Kathleen Phillips set a Heidelberg record with 40 points scored. Phillips, who also notched a record 10 steals in the win, finished her career with 1,755 points -- third in HU history.
Matt Palm, who stepped down as head baseball coach after the 2014 season, won 459 for the Student Princes, most in HU history. His winning percentage -- .687 -- is the second-highest mark in OAC history, behind Marietta's Don Schaly. Palm will remain as the athletic director for Heidelberg.
