I chose to attend Heidelberg because:
The coaches that were present were quite convincing and fit with my personality and goals well. Also, my older sister (Ally Blum) gave me the inside scoop so I could make an educated decision.
The best part about playing a sport at Heidelberg is:
Competing, obviously. I love to compete, and it's even more fun in recent years to pass on my knowledge to underclassmen in hopes of a better team in the future.
Heidelberg is unique because:
The students have a real relationship with the faculty. Not only can I email them and they know exactly who I am, they have a general idea what I'm going to have trouble understand because they've known me and taught me for several semesters.
involves attending graduate school for chemistry and earning my Ph.D. Athletically, my career goal is to simply be an All-Amercan, in any season, in any event.
While at Heidelberg:
I was able to attain an internship doing graduate level research through a contact with my advisor and his wife, who works at the University of Toledo. I couldn't have asked for a more rewarding opportunity and am proud to say that I have been invited to continue working in my project as an intern during the fall semester. I guess that means I must be doing something right!
