NASHVILLE, Tenn – Former Heidelberg University wide receiver and current Tennessee Titans player Michael Preston recorded his first two NFL touchdowns in a 37-34 overtime loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday.
Preston's touchdowns came as part of an improbable Titans rally.
The first touchdown, a 10-yard reception from Ryan Fitzpatrick cut the Cardinals lead to 34-24.
Following a field goal and a successful onside kick, Preston's second touchdown helped send the game into overtime. With 14 seconds left, Preston curled inside, caught the pass from Fitzpatrick and dove into the end zone for an 8-yard touchdown.
The Titans lost on a 41-yard field goal by Arizona's Jay Feely.
Preston finished with 27 yards and three receptions.
A standout for the Student Princes from 2007-2010, Preston holds school career records with 2,748 yards and 27 touchdowns.
