Mount Union Stadium  |  Alliance, Ohio

LOOKING BACK
In a showdown between #1 Mount Union and #9 Heidelberg, the Purple Raiders came out on top, never trailing en route to a 44-34 victory.  The Student Princes went into halftime trailing by 17 points, but scored twice to open the second half.  That would not be enough, however, as Mount Union held off the 'Berg's comeback efforts.

Mount Union got on the board first, but Heidelberg answered quickly, scoring just over a minute later.  The Purple Raiders then took control going into halftime before the Student Princes were able to pull within three points in the third quarter.  Mount Union then pulled away again, and the 'Berg was unable to come back, falling 44-34.

Donteea Dye had a solid day receiving with four catches for 112 yards and one touchdown.  Cartel Brooks ran for 68 yards and two scores, including an 11-yarder that brought Heidelberg withing three points of Mount Union midway through the third quarter.  Michael Mees was 17-34 on the day for 327 yards and two touchdowns.

Defensively, Andy Sieving led the way with two sacks, while both Will Lance and William Nunnally had 1.5 each.  Clay Staib recovered a fumble while tying Lance for the team high in tackles with 10.  Ben Poirier recorded two tackles for loss, which was tied with Sieving for most on the team.
