AUSTINTOWN, Ohio -- Junior Justin Hutchins has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference special teams player of the week. In Saturday's loss to Otterbein, Hutchins' night was highlighted by a 95-yard touchdown return that kept Heidelberg in the game.
In his second game as a return man this season, Hutchins returned three kicks for 192 yards -- an average of 64 yards per return.
Otterbein extended their lead to 42-24. On the ensuing kickoff, Hutchins raced down the right sideline for a 95-yard return -- the first of his career.
Hutchins returned a punt for a touchdown earlier in the game, but it was whistled back due to a penalty.
Used primarily as a defensive back, Hutchins now has 300 career kickoff return yards thanks to Saturday evening.
Heidelberg (2-4, 2-3) hosts Marietta (2-4, 2-3) for an afternoon affair. Kickoff at Hoernemann Stadium is slated for 1:30 p.m.
