Men's hoops to host hurricane relief benefit

TIFFIN -- Heidelberg University head men's basketball coach Andy Bucheit has announced that his team will host Adrian College for a public scrimmage on Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m. The Student Princes and the Bulldogs will be collecting donations to aid the American Red Cross in their relief efforts following the late-summer hurricanes.

Held at the renovated Seiberling Gymnasium, game admission is $1 for students, $5 for adults and $10 for families. All proceeds, including money raised on the live video stream, will be given to the Red Cross.

Event sponsors Carmie's BBQ & Grill restaurant and Smith Family Foods wholesale outlet, along with Coach Bucheit, will match all of the event's proceeds up to $500.

The men's basketball team will give away t-shirts to the first 50 Heidelberg students through the doors.
