Men's golf finishes third at Mohawk

TIFFIN -- On the second day of a two-day tournament, the Heidelberg University men's golf team turned in their best score of the year -- a 297. The score gave them a third place finish overall at the OAC Fall Invitational at their home course of Mohawk Golf & Country Club. Collectively, the team shot a 598.

Freshman Brock Jamison paced the Student Princes by finishing second overall with a 72-71 -- 143.  Jamison was one of two players in the tournament to end the weekend under par.

Andrew Sikorski tied for ninth with a 75-74 -- 149. Kurtis Lazur was next for the Berg shooting a 78-73 -- 151.

Joseph Kurtz carded a 76-83 -- 159 over the two days. Jake Belford rounded out the team by shooting a 82-79 -- 161.

Competing as individuals, Bryce Creamer was 76-75 -- 151 and Henry Bourne was 77-78 -- 155. Chance Campbell turned in a 75-83 -- 158 while Bryan Kennedy shot 81-80 -- 161. Mark Lair finished the competition with a score of 80-89 -- 169.

The team will play in the Defiance Fall Invitational for a one day event on September 25th at Eagle Rock.
