HARROD, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University golf teams competed at the Polar Bear Classic over the weekend, with the men finishing sixth and the women placing eighth. Joey Kurtz had the low score of the day, shooting a -2 69 at Colonial Hills Golfing Club.
Moving up one spot on Sunday, the men improved 17 strokes (323-306--629). Kurtz, who shot an 85 on Saturday, had a masterful day to improve 16 shots. He finished tied for 14th. Andrew Sikorski brought in a 77. Brock Jamison and Chance Campbell closed out the scoring with a pair of 80s.
The women's team dropped a spot in the team standings on Sunday, finishing with a +170 746.
Kerianne Murphy carded her second-straight 90, finishing 25th overall. Taylor Lewis improved three strokes, finishing with a 96 on Sunday. Christy Anzur also had a 96 on the day. Emma Saltsman was the fourth scorer in the second round, shooting a 103.

The women are back in action for a one-day tournament hosted by Lourdes University at Heatherdowns on Tuesday. The men return to action next Sunday for the two-day OAC Spring Invitational at Cumberland Trail.
