PATASKALA, Ohio -- The Heidelberg men's golf team placed fourth at the OAC Spring Invitational, one shot out of third and three shots out of second place. The Student Princes were led by Andrew Sikorski, who placed third.
"Overall, I was very pleased with our play," said head coach Dan Hartsel. "I think we left a couple shots out there that could have turned a good weekend into a great weekend."
At the Cumberland Trail Golf Club, Sikorski carded a 72-76--148, leading HU on both days. Joey Kurtz finished tied for seventh with a 74-78--152.
Bryan Kennedy, 22nd overall, scored a 76-81--157 to finish third on the team. Chance Campbell was the fourth scorer on Monday, finishing with a 90-86--176. Brock Jamison, who scored on Sunday, shot a 77-90--167.
"I am excited to see what our guys can accomplish over the rest of the season," said Hartsel. "It will be nice to play at home next weekend on a course we know very well."
HU will host the Heidelberg Spring Invitational on April 13-14 at the Mohawk Golf & Country Club.
