MGOLF slips to ninth at Defiance

DEFIANCE, Ohio -- At the conclusion of the Defiance Spring Invitational, the Heidelberg University men's golf team slipped to ninth place. The team shot a 320 on day one, but managed a 333 on the second day of competition.

Bryce Creamer had the best day for the Berg with an 81. Right behind him was Chance Campbell who finished the day with an 81.

Joel Studetr, Jaret Miller, and Jake Belford rounded out the team for HU -- all three shot an 85.

The team will compete next weekend at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships, which begin on Friday.

After the first day of play at the Defiance Spring Invitational, the Heidelberg University men's golf team is tied for seventh place. The team carded a 320 in the opening round on Saturday afternoon.

Joel Studer had the best finish for the Student Princes with a 77.

Two strokes behind him was Chance Campbell who shot a 79. The next scorer for HU was Jake Belford who carded an 81.

Jaret Miller shot an 83, and Bryce Creamer rounded out the team with an 85.

The team sits eight strokes behind sixth place Defiance College. Round two will begin Sunday morning.
