MGOLF finishes OAC Championships

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University men's golf team slipped on the final day of the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships and finished eighth. After improving 10 strokes between the first and second rounds, the Student Princes regressed and finished with a 319-309-317---945.

Brock Jamison was the leader for the Student Princes. He was 19th overall, finishing with a 74-78-76---228. Behind him on Sunday was Joey Kurtz, who finished 80-78-79---237. Andrew Sikorski had a 78-75-80---233 for Heidelberg.

Bryan Kennedy's final round counted for HU -- he finished 89-89-82---260. Chance Campbell shot 87-78-93---258 on the weekend.

Otterbein (286-299-298---883) won the turbulent tournament, marred by multiple weather delays and shortened to a 54-hole affair. Baldwin Wallace's Scott Schroeder (73-65-78---216) was the medalist.

After a rainy day two at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships, the Heidelberg University men's golf team saw a 10-stroke improvement. The team now sits in seventh place following a team score of 309 on Saturday afternoon.

Andrew Sikorski had the best day for the Berg, shooting a 75.

Brock Jamison, Joey Kurtz, and Chance Campbell all carded a 78 on the afternoon. After yesterday's round of 74, Jamison sits in 15th place.

Bryan Kennedy rounded out the team for HU with an 89.

The tournament concludes with 18 holes on Sunday. The final round begins at 11 a.m.
