JACKSON, Mich. -- The Heidelberg University men's golf team placed T-5th in a field of 12 schools at the Irish Hills Invitational in Jackson, Mich.
Berg tied with Spring Arbor shooting a 308 on day one and 305 on day two for the 613 total score.
Blake Kaffenbarger paced the team, shooting a 73-76--149 en route to a T-11th finish.
Andrew Sikorski placed T-20th with a 77-76--153. Logan Dwelle shot a 79-76--155, finishing T-26th. Michael Schuller finished T-29th after shooting a 79-77--156 on the weekend. Bryan Kennedy hit an 88-81--169 placing T-53rd.
Lawrence Tech won the event, scoring a 583 over the two days, just edging Wayne State by one stroke. WSU's Anthony Bolden won medalist honors for his 141 combined score.
The men's golf team is back in action on September 22 at the Bluffton Fall Classic.
