MLAX: BW slides past Berg

BEREA, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University men's lacrosse team was tripped up at Baldwin Wallace University on a slippery Friday at George Finnie Stadium. The Yellow Jackets won, 25-4. Heidelberg dropped to 5-10 overall, 2-5 in the OAC.

The Yellow Jackets tallied the first eight goals of the game before Heidelberg closed the first quarter with a goal by Hunter Edwards. Alex Bruder picked up an assist on the goal.

A man-up goal put BW up 9-1 before Heidelberg scored two consecutive goals. Edwards nabbed his second of the game, followed by a Jacob White goal off an assist from Brock Hodson.

Late in the second, Patrick McCarthy scored an unassisted goal that made the score 14-4.

The hosts scored the final goal of the first half and all 10 tallies in the second half.

Connor Reese and Eli Allen split time in goal. Reese made six saves in the first half and Allen registered seven after halftime.

The Student Princes wrap up their home slate of games on Wednesday as John Carroll visits Hoernemann Stadium. Game time is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start.
