MLAX: Student Princes drop final home game of 2019

TIFFIN, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University men's lacrosse team wrapped up their home slate for 2019 with a 26-5 loss to John Carroll University on Wednesday evening.

The 'Berg now holds a 5-11 record and are 2-6 in the OAC. John Carroll improved to 9-6, 5-3.

The Student Princes received goals from five different scorers on the evening. Alex Bruder and Patrick McCarthy scored in the first half before Jacob White, Liam Weaver and Brock Hodson scored in the second half of play.

The Blue Streaks were led by a 13-point affair by Skyler Blake (four goals, nine assists). Brendan Whitty found the cage seven times for JCU as well.

Eli Allen and Connor Reese combined for nine saves in the game. Ryan Sinnema and Jaydon Septer led the Berg with five ground balls a piece.

Heidelberg concludes the regular season on Saturday on the road at Muskingum University. Faceoff in New Concord is slated for 1 p.m.
