TIFFIN -- The Heidelberg University men's and women's soccer teams each saw one member recognized by the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association. Sophomores Erica Campbell and Rodrigo Meza both received Third Team All-Ohio honors.
After a solid freshman campaign, Campbell had an outstanding season as a sophomore. The Lancaster native netted 12 goals in 19 games this season. Her biggest game came in a 6-0 win over Thiel, where she scored a hat trick.
In 15 games for the Berg, Meza scored four goals and tallied two assists. The sophomore scored twice in the victory at Kenyon -- including the game winner in double overtime. He also provided the first blow in the upset of No. 4 John Carroll with the opening goal for HU.
Campbell and Meza both join long lists of Heidelberg soccer players who have been named to All-Ohio teams. Meza is the first since Chris Koczak and Kyle Boone were named in 2015, while Campbell's teammate Alexandra Farmer earned the honor last season.
