AUSTINTOWN -- Senior goalkeeper Jake Kress was named to the All-OAC second team on Thursday morning for his efforts in goal during the 2018 campaign for the Heidelberg University men's soccer team. The honor marks the first postseason recognition for Kress at Heidelberg.
Kress started in net in all 16 games for the Berg, compiling 77 saves, a .770 save percentage, a 1.42 GAA, and four shutouts. His 77 saves marked him third in the conference, while his .770 save percentage put him fourth among the OAC.
Over his standout career, Kress started in 57 of 58 of games he played in, while racking up 232 saves, a career 1.37 GAA, a career .746 save percentage and 17 shutouts.
Kress concluded his career with a 23-26-7 record for the Heidelberg men's soccer program.
