Men's Tennis Falls to Purple Raiders

TIFFIN, Ohio – The Heidelberg University men's tennis team suffered their second Ohio Athletic conference loss of the season in an 8-2 defeat at the hands of the Mount Union Purple Raiders.

Senior Zach Schwenning, after teaming up with fellow senior Matt McDivitt, earned the lone singles viuctory. The senior duo dropped their Purple Raider counterparts, 8-6, in doubles action.

Schwenning gained the second Berg point of the match with a convincing 6-3, 6-3, win in singles action.

The victory moves Schwenning to 7-4 overall in singles competition this season.

The Berg men move to 6-5 overall and 1-2 in the OAC.

The Student Princes will travel to Capital University to continue OAC competition. The Berg men and the Capital Crusaders will take to the court on 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9.
