AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Heidelberg University freshman Jonathan Long has been named honorable mention All-OAC, as announced by the conference on Wednesday. Long led the Student Princes for much of the season, playing at first singles in his first year at the Berg.

The Fairborn, Ohio native recorded a team-high 10 victories on the year, including a 7-8 record at first singles. He began his season in the fall for the Berg at the Oberlin Invitational with three wins, later earning the first singles spot in the Heidelberg lineup.

In Ohio Athletic Conference action, Long went 3-5 in singles play, including a 6-3, 6-0 win in his final completed match of the season against Will Willson of Otterbein, who earned 2nd team All-OAC honors.

Long also wrapped up his freshman campaign with a 6-14 overall record in doubles matches between four different pairings.

The Heidelberg University men's tennis team finished the 2015-16 season with a 5-12 overall record and ended their year by falling in the quarterfinals of the Ohio Athletic Conference tournament.
