MTEN: Vaughan leads Berg in OAC match

TIFFIN -- In the first home match of the season, the Heidelberg University men's tennis team fell to Marietta College, 7-2.

The freshman duo of Kyle Alexander and JT Vaughan won at second doubles by a score of 8-5.

In first singles, Tate Schoen was narrowly edged out in a tiebreaker, 6-2, 0-6, 4-6.

Vaughan gave the Student Princes their lone singles victory at fourth singles. Vaughan defeated Bryce Emerick in a tiebreaker, 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.

The team will compete at Capital University on Tuesday. Match time against the Crusaders is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start.
