WESTERVILLE -- At the All-Ohio Championships, the Heidelberg University track teams took ninth on the men's side and tenth on the women's side. The meet was highlighted by three All-Ohio placers. Bethany Beaver was busy -- earning All-Ohio honors as part of a relay while also finishing top eight in two other events. Below is a listing of each top-eight finish.
Men High Jump: Wes Fritz leapt to All-Ohio status with a second place finish in the high jump. He cleared 6-6.
Women 4x200 Meter Relay: Bethany Beaver, McKenzie Biniker, Kelsey Grove and Michaela Slone combined for a second-place All-Ohio finish in the 4x2. The quartet finished in 1:46.19.
Men Weight Throw: Tristen Durr earned All-Ohio accolades with a runner-up finish in the weight. His third toss -- 55-5.5 -- was his best.
Men 5000 Meter Run: Austin Neura earned a point with an eighth-place finish in the 5K. He clocked a time of 15:28.51.
Women 60 Meter Dash: Beaver was fifth in the 60 meter. Her time of 8.05s earned four team points.
Women 200 Meter Dash: Beaver was sixth in the 200, sprinting to a time of 26.57.
Men 400 Meter Dash: Devaun Churchya was eighth in the 400. He finished with a time of 50.81 -- earning a point for the team.
Men 800 Meter Run: Jacob Berryman just missed All-Ohio status by taking fourth in the 800. He ran a 1:58.32 to earn five points.
Men 3000 Meter Run: Isaac Kuntz eked out a point in the 3000 with an eighth-place finish. He clocked a 9:11.87.
Men Heptathlon: Jon Suter earned four points in last weekend's All-Ohio Combined Events.
