T&F: Men 4th, Women 8th at All-Ohio

WESTERVILLE -- The Heidelberg University track teams battled the best the Buckeye State has to offer on Saturday. At the Division III All-Ohio Meet hosted by Otterbein University, the men's team finished fourth and the women's team placed eighth.

Top Three Finishers (All-Ohio Status)

Women's 400M: Sarah Hunter finished second in the 400, with a time of 58.66 -- breaking her own school record. She was edged out of the top spot by .01 seconds.

Men's 4x200m Relay: The quartet of James Ervin, Marques Johnson, Jerrod Lyon, and Dan Stoll placed second. The quartet was narrowly beat out by Mount Union by .01 seconds.

Men's 400M: Stoll took second in the 400m dash with a time of 50.17.

Men's Distance Medley: Isaac Kuntz, Kenny Beucler, Tim Faiken and Eric Peterson slid into third in the DM with a time of 10:39.14.

Men's 4x400M Relay:  Lyon, Faiken, Beucler and Stoll wrapped up the meet with a third-place finish in the 4x4.  They clocked a 3:25.33.

Men's Heptathlon: Held last weekend, Ryan Edwards took third in the heptathlon. During the competition, he won the shot put and high jump.

 

Heidelberg will compete at next weekend's Kent State Tune Up before wrapping up February with the OAC Championships.
