BEXLEY, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University track & field teams took home three individual titles and nine all-conference performances at the 2018 Ohio Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Capital University. Titles by Rachel House, Sarah Hunter and Olivia Hipp helped the women's team finished sixth, while the men's team took fifth. Mount Union's men and Otterbein's women won the team titles.
Olivia Hipp won the high jump, clearing 5-5.25 feet on her final attempt. Her personal record unofficially puts her 12th in the nation.
Sarah Hunter won the women's 400m dash with a time of 58.09, resetting her own school record.
In the men's high jump, Wes Fritz hit 6-05.50 feet, placing him second in a tie breaker.
McKenzie Biniker, Erica Campbell, Sarah Hunter, and Kelsey Grove finished second in the women's 4x200m relay. The quartet ran a 1:15.98.
Freshman James Ervin II was second in the 60m dash with a time of 7.07, earning All-OAC honors.
With a time of 50.34, Dan Stoll was third in the men's 400m dash. In the 200m, Stoll took fifth with a time of 23.12.
In the men's 500m dash, Kenny Beucler finished sixth with a race of 1:07.35.
Biniker was sixth in the women's 200 meter with a time of 26.53.
Isaac Kuntz placed seventh in the men's mile, running a 4:26.17.
Clocking in a 9.61, sophomore Erica Campbell took sixth in the 60m hurdles.
In the women's 500m, Allison Schwarzbek took home sixth with a time of 1:20.06.
Eric Peterson was fifth in the 1000, clocking a 2:36.82.
The women's 4x400 team -- Biniker, Hunter, Schwarzbek and House -- took fifth. The quartet ran a 4:07.21.
Rachel House won the 5,000 meter with a personal record of 17:46.13. She becomes the fourth Heidelberg runner to win the indoor 5k (Dani Blum, 2015; Sophie Goobic, 2014; Melissa Troyer, 2000).
In the women's long jump, Olivia Hipp finished sixth with a jump of 17-05.25 feet -- a new personal record.
With a throw of 45-11.25 feet and setting a new PR, Alexia Page-boyd took seventh in the weight throw -- her personal best.
Ben Gutzky's throw of 53-01.50 feet was good for a fifth place finish in the weight throw.
