LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The Heidelberg University men's and women's cross country teams competed at the NCAA DIII Pre-Nationals Meet this weekend in Kentucky. The men's team finished in 18th place out of 43 teams while the women took 20th out of 39.
The women's team was led by Rachel House who ran a 22:30.21 -- 20th overall. Behind her was Amanda Elkins with a time of 24:24.17 and Miranda Shaffer who ran a 24:37.99. Next for HU was Nicole Tennison who clocked in at 25:15.60 and Harley Berlesky with her time of 25:41.94. Elizabeth Volz rounded out the team, running a 26:25.45
Isaac Kuntz paced the HU men, finishing 59th overall with a time of 26:22.30. Jacob Ferrebee (27:23.08) and Dom Frey (27:23.88) were next for the Student Princes. With a time of 27:38.87, Jesse Rudolph was next for the Berg. Tim Faiken was right behind, running a 27:45.50. Joel Studer and and Eric Peterson rounded out the field, with times of 28:04.52 and 28:19.36.
The men's and women's teams will race October 14th at the Jenna Strong Fall Classic.
