XC women finish seventh, men ninth

WILMINGTON, Ohio -- The men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Jenna Strong Fall Classic on Friday. The men's team took ninth place of 38 teams while the women's team finished in seventh. The field was composed of Division I, II, and III schools.

Isaac Kuntz paced the men's team finished 12th overall with a time of 25:24.5. Next for the Berg was freshman Austin Neura who ran a 26:19.9. Dom Frey (26:54.3), Jacob Ferrebee (27:00.7), and Eric Peterson (27:10.8) were the next three finishers for HU. Joel Studer and Tim Faiken rounded out the team for the Student Princes with times of 27:14.5 and 27:19.5.

Jesse Rudolph, Dakota Freeman, Devon Jester, Tim Jasper, Andrew Symonds, Cameron Weaks, Aaron Hellman, Justin Mourguet, and Sean Humphreys also ran for the Berg.

On the women's side, Rachel House ran a 18:38.3 -- 17th overall. Hayley Cochran took 41st with a time of 19:23.7 and Dani Blum finished in 44th place with a time of 19:25.0 Miranda Shaffer ran a 19:54.0. Amanda Elkins (20:11.3), Nicole Tennison (20:46.2), and Jessica Sucheck (21:02.1) rounded out the team.

Harley Berlesky, Elizabeth Volz, Alexandra Chakov, Taylor Rodriguez, Megan Lefeld, and Samantha Bensman also competed for HU.

The teams will compete at the OAC Championships October 29th in Columbus.
