Neura, House take All-OAC honors

TIFFIN -- Austin Neura and Rachel House both turned in All-Conference performances at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday afternoon. Neura took third overall while House finished in fifth. Both were named First Team All-OAC with their finishes.

The men's cross country team finished sixth as the women's side ended in seventh.

Neura's 8K time of 25:13.3 secured him third place. Isaac Kuntz was next for the Student Princes with a time of 26:23, 23rd overall.

Dominic Frey was close behind Kuntz with a race of 26:49.4. Jacob Ferrebee (27:28.3) and Eric Peterson (27:36.9) rounded out the best five Heidelberg finishes.

House paced the women's team with a 6K time of 22:37.3. Amanda Elkins had the second best finish for the Berg, clocking in at 24:35.1. Not far behind was Miranda Shaffer, who ran a 24:51.0.

Alexandra Chakov (25:14.1) and Jessica Sucheck (26:45.9) rounded out the top five HU races.

Both teams travel to the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional on Nov. 11. The race will be held in Delaware, Ohio.
