WINNECONE, Wisconsin -- Senior Austin Neura capped off his incredible cross country career at the NCAA Championships hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Saturday afternoon.
Neura finished the 8k course in a time of 26:04.7, good for an overall finish of 190th out of 280 runners.
Neura, a native of Medina, Ohio finished his senior cross country season as an All-OAC and All-Region runner, as well as being the first male to qualify for the National Championships from Heidelberg since 2010.
Head coach Brian Grime on Austin's performance: "Austin had a great season. This was not quite the ending we had hoped for, but he was tripped and fell down 800 meters into the race and had to try and make up a lot of ground, but at this meet it's tough to make up that many spots...Incredibly proud of this guy, can't wait to see what he does in his final track season."
