AUSTINTOWN -- The Heidelberg University softball team saw the recognition of two players on the All-OAC team after the 2019 season.
Moore, a native of Springfield, Ohio, was tabbed as a first-team first baseman for her efforts on the year. At the plate, Moore batted a career-high .405 and had a new best on-base-percentage (.468). Starting in all 36 games, Moore clubbed 45 hits, four doubles, one triple, and four homers while knocking in 17 runs. she also drew 13 walks. In the field, Moore was responsible for 231 putouts at first base and had 22 assists enroute to a .973 fielding percentage.
Conney, a native of Norwalk, Ohio, had a breakout season in 2019 while being selected as All-Conference honorable mention. After only playing in six career games and collecting six at-bats in her first two seasons at the 'Berg, Conney played in 32 games and batted .299 with 26 hits, three doubles, two home runs, and five walks. She was also responsible for nine RBIs. As a middle-infielder, Conney also collected 81 putouts and 43 assists while compiling a .984 fielding percentage.
The pair led the Student Princes to a 14-22 record this season and a 6-12 mark in conference play.
