AUSTINTOWN, Ohio -- After averaging 19.5 points per game over two games, senior Maggie Davault has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Week, as announced on Monday. Davault led the team in scoring both games as the Student Princes picked up two crucial OAC victories.

In Wednesday's win over John Carroll, Davault recorded a career-high 26 points, scoring ten straight in the third quarter. She knocked down six 3-pointers, one shy of tying the HU record set by current head coach Morgan Harrigan in 2007.

Davault led the balanced Student Princes offense with 13 points in Saturday's win over Muskingum. The senior dished up three assists in each game this week.

A native of Orrville, Davault is the program's first player of the week winner since Marisa Liburdi earned the honor in 2015.  The award is voted on by the head coaches in the conference.

"Maggie is a competitor -- and she wanted to find a way to win," said Harrigan following the win over John Carroll. "She has stepped up as a leader, holding her teammates accountable."

Heidelberg has won four of their last five games, and is currently riding a three-game winning streak.

Davault and the rest of the Student Princes look to carry the momentum into Wednesday's game at Capital University (5-8, 1-5). Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
