Women's golf improves 31 strokes during second round at Safari

POWELL, Ohio -- Each golfer on the Heidelberg women's golf team improved in the second and final round of the Ohio Wesleyan Fall Invitational.  The result was a 31-stroke round-to-round improvement from day one.  Heidelberg jumped over Hiram College into eighth place.  

Kerianne Murphy carded an 88 on Sunday, four shots better than Saturday's 92.  She finished 24th overall.  

Taylor Lewis dropped three strokes on Sunday, carding a 93.  Hope Bacho came in with a 91 in round two, 10 shots better than Saturday.  

Erin McGinty's 98 on Sunday marked a 14-shot improvement over Saturday.  

Heidelberg returns to action at its own invitational.  The two-day tournament at Mohawk Golf & Country Club runs next Saturday and Sunday.
