Women's golf finishes sixth at OWU

DELAWARE -- The Heidelberg University women's golf team turned in a sixth place finish at the Ohio Wesleyan Fall Invitational this weekend. Play was originally scheduled for Saturday, but due to inclement weather it was moved to Sunday.

Senior Kerianne Murphy turned in the best score of the day for the Berg. She shot an 89 and finished tied for 19th overall.

Behind her LeeAnn Black shot a 91, tied for 22nd overall. Next was Taylor Lewis (94), Charlotte Sypula (95), and Emma Saltsman (99). As a team, HU carded a 369.

Hope Bacho, Megan Brugnone, and Anastasia Lindemann competed as individual players.

The team will play on their home course, Mohawk Country Club, this weekend when they host the HU Invitational. The event runs Sept. 17-18.
