Golfers hit the links over the weekend

POWELL, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University women's golf team finished fourth at the Ohio Wesleyan Fall Invitational.  The squad saw a 19-stroke improvement in the second round of the event, held at Safari Golf Club.  

Autumn Simpson led the way, carding a 92-84--176 for a 10th-place finish.  Emma Saltsman was close behind with an 88-90-178 (T-11th) over the two-day tournament.  

Taylor Lewis (92-87--179) was a stroke back.  

Alexis Julien (100-92--192) was the fourth scorer on both days.  Anastasia Lindemann shot a 105-100--205.  

The Student Princes return to action next weekend as they host the Heidelberg Fall Invitational at Mohawk Golf & Country Club.  The two-day event begins Saturday.  

MEADVILLE, Penn. -- Kurtis Lazar shot a +5 77 on the opening day of the Guy & Jeanne Kuhn Memorial Golf Tournament, leading the Heidelberg men's golf team to 14th overall.  In all 18 teams are in competion at the event  hosted by Allegheny College at the Country Club of Meadville. 

Lazur finishd the weekend with a 77-81--158. Andrew Sikorski saw a four-stroke improvement from Sunday to end with a 83-79--162. Bryce Creamer was folowed closely for the Berg carding a 80-83--163. Logan Dwelle (82-86--168) and Chance Campbell (90-89--179) rounded out the team.

The squad returns to action this weekend at the Fall OAC Invitational, hosted by Pine Hills GC.
