WG: Berg wraps up Heidelberg Fall Invitational in sixth place

TIFFIN – The Heidelberg University women's golf team placed sixth out of 15 teams at their own Heidelberg Fall Invitational this weekend.

As a team, Berg shot 373 on day one, 363 on day two for a combined score of 736.

Leading the way for Heidelberg was Alexis Julien and Autumn Simpson who finished in a tie for 11th place, both carding a two day total of 175. Julien carded a 91 on day one and 84 on day two, while Simpson shot an 87-88 over the weekend.

Charlotte Sypula stroked a 96-90--186, good for a 22nd place finish. Rounding out the team score for the Student Princes was Megan Brugnone, who finished T-48th. Her final tally was 99-101--200.

The College of Wooster finished first overall, with a two-day total score of 680, besting second place Ohio Northern by 32 strokes. Ali Metzger from Allegheny University took home medalist honors, carding a 82-80--162.

The team will be back in action at the Allegheny Women's Invitational on September 23-24.
