TIFFIN -- In their first conference game on the road, the Heidelberg University lacrosse team fell to Muskingum, 18-3. The Student Princes enjoyed an early 2-0 before the Muskies went on the offensive.
Heidelberg slipped to 0-6 in their inaugural season, 0-2 in Ohio Athletic Conference competition. Muskingum improved to 5-6, 1-1, with the win.
Muskingum scored the next 11 goals, all in the first half, to take an 11-2 lead.
Dudley halted the run with her second goal of the game, coming with 4:15 left in the first.
The Muskies would shut HU out the rest of the way en route to the win.
Janessa Scott made nine saves in the loss. Dudley and Winnicki each tallied a pair of caused turnovers. Dudley led Heidelberg with five shots.
Paige Watterman and Ashley Adams tallied a combined 11 goals for the host Muskies.
Heidelberg returns to the road on Wednesday. HU visits Berea to battle with Baldwin Wallace (7-2, 2-0), starting at 7:30 p.m.
