DELAWARE, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University women's lacrosse team fell from the ranks of the unbeaten after a 14-3 loss at Ohio Wesleyan on Wednesday. The loss snapped The Berg's season-opening four game win streak.

Ohio Wesleyan (3-2) scored the game's first 11 goals before Anna Winnicki netted her 14th goal of the season on a free position shot with 3:21 left before halftime. Winnicki is the only Heidelberg player with at least one goal in each game this season.

In the low-scoring second half, Angela Lulejian and Jenna Carman found the back of the net.

Starting goaltender Jessica Ballow faced 18 shots and made five saves in 50 minutes of work. Mandi Phillips worked the final 10 minutes.

Heidelberg begins Ohio Athletic Conference action on Saturday with a trip to Otterbein University (3-5, 0-0 OAC). The Cardinals and The Berg will battle at 1:30 p.m. in Westerville.
