WLAX: Berg toppled by Oberlin

OBERLIN, Ohio -- Less than 24 hours after winning their first conference game in its history, the Heidelberg University was back on the field, taking on Oberlin. The Yeowomen defeated the Student Princes, 22-2. Heidelberg slipped to 5-3 on the season.

Angela Lulejian and Anna Winnicki picked up the goals for Heidelberg. Lulejian's goal came on a free position attempt in the first half. Jen Kovarik tallied the assist on Winnicki's goal, which came late in the second half.

Defensively, Winnicki caused a team-high three turnovers while McKenzie Perry and Bri Casement each had two.

In goal, Jessica Ballow and Mandi Phillips each played a half/ Ballow amassed six saves and Phillips had four.

Heidelberg returns to action on Wednesday, with a 7 p.m. home game vs. Baldwin Wallace (4-6, 2-0 OAC).
