TIFFIN -- The Heidelberg University women's lacrosse team began the holiday weekend with a 19-5 loss to Baldwin Wallace University on Friday. The Student Princes had five different student-athletes tally a goal in the losing effort.

Heidelberg slipped to 7-8 overall, 1-5 in the OAC. BW improved to 8-5, 5-1.

Down 4-0, Heidelberg got on the board with a goal by Dana Dudley with 21:38 left in the first half. Teammate Jenna Carman scored two minutes later.

Sensing a shift in momentum, the visitors scored the next three goals of the game. Angela Lulejian ended the BW run by scoring her 45th goal of the year.

With BW up 8-3 at halftime, the sides traded goals early in the second. Anna Winnicki and Jen Kovarik scored the goals for Heidelberg, which trailed 10-5.

The Yellow Jackets scored the final nine goals of the contest.

The rough-and-tumble affair featured six cards -- three on each team.

Mandi Phillips made 11 saves in the loss. Winnicki and Alexandra Farmer each notched two caused turnovers on the dreary afternoon.

Up next, the Student Princes travel to John Carroll for their final road game of the season. Game time in University Heights is scheduled for 7 p.m.
