ALLIANCE, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University wrestling team suffered its first OAC loss at the hands of No. 9 Mount Union on Tuesday night. The Berg took just two matches, falling 41-6.
Logan Broskie won a thrilling overtime decision, 4-3, over MTU's Jesse Gross at the 165 match.
Christian Climer capped things off for the Berg with a 9-4 victory in the night's final bout at 285. With the victory, Climer remains perfect in the Ohio Athletic Conference, improving to 4-0.
After forfeiting the first two matches, Heidelberg fell in the 141 match by tech fall. Another forfeit at 149 was following by a commanding Mount Union pin at 157.
Broskie briefly halted the Purple Raider momentum with an overtime win at 165, but the home team took the next three matches. Climer ended the evening with a win for the Berg.
Heidelberg returns back home for the first time since December next Tuesday, Feb. 6. The Student Princes will square off with another ranked OAC foe -- No. 6 Baldwin Wallace. Match time is slated for 7:30 p.m.
