Women’s Soccer Stung by Yellow Jackets

TIFFIN, Ohio - Hoping to rally from a two game slump, the Heidelberg women's soccer team hosted the Yellow Jackets of Baldwin Wallace University under the lights of Mayer Field. The Berg offense however could not create enough opportunities to find an equalizer as the Berg falls, 1-0 to Baldwin Wallace.

The Yellow Jackets found their only goal of the game in the 15th minute when Kayla Losco crossed in a corner kick. Heidelberg's senior goal keeper Molly Schriber got a hand to the ball in an attempt to deflect it away, but instead deflected it into the Berg net.

The BW defense played remarkably, holding the Student Princes to just four shots.

Sophomore Jeanette Jinkinson, freshman Lindsey Marcum, junior Hannah Gregoire and freshman Brittany Arpajian-Zaleski each tallied one shot against the Yellow Jackets.

Senior goalkeeper Molly Schriber played a magnificent game in net as she collected 12 saves on the evening. Schriber has hauled in 94 saves in her senior campaign.

The Heidelberg women will continue conference play when they host the Cardinals of Otterbein University on Saturday, October 19. The match from the Hidden Valley Soccer Complex in Tiffin, Ohio is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
