Mattern & Schriber shine in final game

ALLIANCE, Ohio – Bethany Mattern closed out her career for Heidelberg University women's soccer in grand fashion. She scored a goal in the ninth minute of a 1-1 draw at Mount Union.

The team's other senior, goalkeeper Molly Schriber, tallied seven saves in her final contest for the Tricolor.

After Mattern's early goal, the score remained 1-0 until Mount Union (12-5-2, 5-3-1 OAC) found an equalizer in the 86th minute. Kolbie Haines connected on a penalty kick that stemmed from a foul called on Mary Jacobs.
