TIFFIN -- The Heidelberg University women's soccer team suffered a 5-0 loss to John Carroll University Tuesday afternoon. The loss drops HU to 5-5-2 (0-2 OAC) as the Blue Streaks improve to 4-3-5 (1-0-1 OAC).

John Carroll's scoring started in the 8th minute, when Bailey Fischer dribbled past the HU defense down the right wing and scored on a breakaway -- her first of three goals. Despite taking many shots, the Blue Streaks were held scoreless for the remainder of the first half.

Less than five minutes into the second half, Fischer struck again. Fischer dribbled through the defense into open space for the shot.

JCU tacked on three goals in the final 15 minutes. Fischer crossed a ball to Jaclyn Audino who one-touched it into a wide open net. Moments later, Fischer once again beat the defense and scored on a breakaway. Audino capped off the Blue Streak scoring with a breakaway goal in the 82nd minute.

Goalkeeper Bri Casement made 11 saves in the match. JCU's Rhianna Guarnera tallied three saves, picking up the clean sheet.

The Blue Streaks outshot HU 25-7. All seven of the Berg's shots came in the second half.

At halftime of the match, Lindsey Marcum was crowned Homecoming Queen. Marcum was unable to attend the initial crowning at Saturday's football game due to their game at Muskingum.

Heidelberg hosts Mount Union this Saturday at Hidden Valley. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m.
