WOOSTER, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University women's soccer team fell in a tough 1-0 match against The College of Wooster on Tuesday afternoon. After a hot start to the season, HU has dropped two straight, moving to 3-2 on the season.
Wooster remains unbeaten, moving to 3-0-2.
The lone Wooster goal came in the 22nd minute when Devin Frisby connected with Erica White. White netted home a shot past HU keeper Alexandra Farmer for the only score needed for the home team victory.
Wooster keeper Maddy Ireton was the difference maker for the Fighting Scots, making eight saves to pick up the clean sheet. Three of those saves came off the foot of HU striker Erica Campbell, who has three goals through five games this season. Farmer made three saves in the losing effort.
The Berg looks to end its losing skid Friday afternoon at Lawrence Tech (Mich.). Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m.
