WESTERVILLE -- The Heidelberg University women's soccer team snapped a three-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over Otterbein University.

The Student Princes improved to 8-6-1 and 2-3 in the rugged Ohio Athletic Conference. Otterbein sank to 9-3-1, 2-3 in the conference.

On a bouncing ball in the Otterbein defensive third, Erica Campbell hustled between two Cardinals and chipped a ball over the head of the keeper. Campbell's goal, her 10th of the year, gave HU a 1-0 lead in the 19th minute.

Otterbein tied the game with an Emily Ganz goal in the 39th minute.

A long-range shot by Abigail Callahan in the 70th minute put the Student Princes on top to stay with her third goal of the season.

Alexandra Farmer made 11 saves in the victory.

The win was Heidelberg's second straight over Otterbein. Prior to 2016, the Cardinals had won the previous 13 meetings.
