Women's Tennis falls in OAC opener

ALLIANCE – The Heidelberg University women's tennis team fell in their first Ohio Athletic Conference match of the 2015-16 season on Saturday, dropping an 8-1 match at Mount Union. The Student Princes fell to 3-5 (0-1 OAC) on the season while Mount Union improved to 8-4 (1-0 OAC).

The lone victory for the Berg came at second singles where Nicole Millar won a convincing 6-2, 6-2 match.

At third singles, Markilynn Hogle won the first set 7-5, but then fell in the second 6-4 before falling 10-3 in the tiebreaker.

In doubles play, the duo of Allison Costantino and Catherine Harris had the most competitive match of the day, dropping a tough 8-5 contest at third doubles.

Heidelberg will be back on the courts on Saturday, April 9th, when they host Baldwin Wallace for their first home match of the season. That OAC contest is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
