TIFFIN - The Heidelberg University women's tennis team cruised to a 9-0 victory over Capital on Friday. The Student Princes won convincingly in the matches that were played, while they also took a pair of forefit wins.
Heidelberg improved to 6-8 (3-4 OAC) while Capital fell to 0-10 (0-7 OAC).
The Student Princes were dominant in doubles play, as they took both of the first and second doubles matches 8-0, while they were handed a forefit win at third doubles.
In singles play, Sofey Fugate, Nicole Millar, Markilynn Hogle, Allison Costantino, and Catherine Harris all easily won two-set matches. Capital only managed to win more than one game in a set at first singles, while the Berg was in complete control of every match.
Heidelberg will be back in action tomorrow, April 30th, when they wrap up their regular season with a road match at Otterbein, scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.
