SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- Prior to the holiday weekend, the Heidelberg University track & field teams ran at Wittenberg's Coach Rob Invitational. The women took third and the men took sixth.
Women's 1500m - Rachel House took four seconds off her PR and missed a school record by a second with a 4:47.45. Her time was good for first. Amanda Elkins PRd by three seconds with a 5:10 while Alex Chakov's 5:22 was her PR by more than six seconds.
Women's 200m - Sydney McCoy tied her PR with a 2:41
Men's 800m - With a 2:03, Justin See took eight seconds off his personal record.
Women's 400m - Allison Schwarzbek won the 400 with a time of 1:07.96.
Men's 1500m - Garrett Shearer PRd by more than ten seconds with a 4:47.
Women's 5K - Taylor Rodriguez outperformed her collegiate best by nearly two minutes, clocking a 20:48.
Women's High Jump - Olivia Hipp's best attempt, 1.52m, was second.
Men's 400 Hurdles - Kenny Beucler took third with a time of 54.64.
Men's High Jump - Wes Fritz cleared 1.93m with two others, but finished third in a tiebreaker.
Women's Long Jump - Hipp's good day continued with a leap of 5.15m, taking second.
Men's 5k - Jake Ferrebee's 15:38 was his best by 13 seconds, while Alec Waterston's 16:35 was nearly a minute better than his PR. Andrew Symonds ran a 16:45, nearly 45 seconds better than his previous PR. Dakota Freeman shaved 30 seconds off his PR with a 16:56.
Men's Pole Vault - Austin Baker took third with a best attempt of 3.66m.
Men's 4x400m Relay - Eric Peterson, Tim Faiken, Beucler and Dylan Weichart scampered to a third-place finish with a 3:28.65.
Women's Discus - Alexia Page-Boyd was second in the discus, with her best throw (35.33m) coming on her fourth attempt.
