VB victorious in University Heights

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University volleyball team picked up its first win in the Ohio Athletic Conference action, upending host John Carroll University, 3-1.  HU rallied for the 18-25, 25-16, 25-17, 25-21 victory.  

Heidelberg improved to 10-9 overall, 1-1 in the conference.  JCU dropped to 5-16, 1-1.  

Morgan Strenk provided a punch off the bench for the Student Princes.  She racked up a match-high 12 kills on 21 attempts, hitting .429.  

Taylor Arbogast continued her hot streak with nine kills and 13 digs.  Jordann Gudorf was outstanding at the net, with seven kills and six total blocks.  

Amandalin Hensley was the primary setter for The Berg and set a career high with 37 assists.  

In the back row, Rachel Raimondo notched 28 digs.  Taylor Valentine added 18 digs and six kills.  

Heidelberg visits Mount Union on Saturday.  Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
