Volleyball falls in straight sets

ALLIANCE, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University volleyball team dropped an Ohio Athletic Conference match on the road Saturday afternoon. HU fell in straight sets to the University of Mount Union, 25-20, 25-23, 25-20.

The Berg falls to 10-10 (1-2 OAC) as the Purple Raiders improve to 18-3 (2-1).

Taylor Valentine and Morgan Strenk paced the HU offense with 12 kills apiece.

In just her second career start, setter Amandalin Hensley tallied 26 assists in the match.

Senior libero Rachel Raimondo racked up 12 digs. Valentine added 11.

Heidelberg attacked at a .148 clip, committing 22 attack errors.

The Student Princes return to their home court for a tough test on Tuesday night. HU will take on No. 17 Ohio Northern at 7 p.m.
