LEXINGTON, Ky. — For the second straight season, Rachel Raimondo has been named to the AVCA Honorable Mention All-America team. The libero is the 18th selection in Heidelberg volleyball history to earn All-American honors, and the first two-time selection since Sarah Parker (2014-16).
Raimondo, a two-time OAC Libero of the Year, leaves the Berg as one of the most decorated players in the program. The senior racked up 2,054 digs throughout her career and sits fourth on HU's all-time list.
The Mentor native was a three-time All-OAC pick and a two-time All-Region honoree. Raimondo helped lead the Berg to two NCAA Tournaments, including the OAC Regular Season and Tournament Championship in 2015.
Raimondo and the rest of the Heidelberg volleyball team concluded the season with a 17-12 record before falling to Otterbein in the OAC Tournament semifinals.
